“Learning gives creativity, Creativity leads to thinking,
Thinking provides knowledge, knowledge makes you great”.
APJ ABDUL KALAM
Education is an on-going, never ending process. It is much more than mere class-room activity, it is not simply imparting knowledge and information; it is building the lives of our students into mature, responsible citizens of our country, socially conscious of one’s obligations towards others. This is the biggest responsibility of St. Joseph’s Convent School, Kotma.
Education is a long term investment- none can ever take it away from you. No fear of losing it either. It is a valuable asset for both the one who gives and the one who receives. Education promotes growth and makes you aware of who you are and what you should do. Education has not only to do with the intellect but also with the heart. Keep updating – the educated never finish with learning, because the reservoir of learning is very vast. You can learn things everyday from everything.
St. Joseph’s Convent School, Kotma aims at forming the character of the students, strengthening their will power, expanding their intellect and heart and helping them to stand on their own feet.
During these past sixteen years St. Joseph’s Convent School, Kotma has prepared the students to blossom and to be ever prepared to face the challenging and competitive world through its all round developmental activities.
In this process I want to congratulate Sr. Rashmie - the Principal, all the Sisters, the staff and the students on the great progress you have made in the field of education. I want to make a special mention of Fr. Antony Parapullil SJ. who has been a constant guide and a mentor from the inception of this School. A Big Thanks to you Fr. Antony. I am fully aware of the quality education and real character formation that is being imparted in this institution. The School has been getting excellent academic results but the real test that has to be faced is how the students face life realities, how they show genuine concern towards others, especially the poor and the marginalized.
I also extend my heartfelt thanks to all our co-workers for your dedicated service, all the parents and well wishers for your continuous support and co-operation that enable us to move forward with confidence.
May the blessing of God be upon each one of you!
Sr. Teresa Paul
